Besides the infinity pool at The Westin and Marina Bay Sands, the one in Mandarin Oriental definitely offers the best pool view in Singapore. Located along the Marina Bay, this luxurious hotel presents a unique contemporary look with oriental touches, Waking up in their Premier Harbour room is one of the best thing ever, where you will be greeted by the grandiose view as the morning sun shines its beam on the waves of water and the skyline over the radiant sky. Click on to find out how a Staycation is like in Mandarin Oriental Singapore. Be ready to be mesmerized by the majestic Chandelier at the lift lobby as you enter the hotel. If you are staying with them for the first time, the service staff will show you the way to your room while he/she introduces the facilities and features in this hotel. Large amount of floor space on the main lobby are used for their ballrooms. There are more things to explore on the 4th and 5th floor, where you will find some interesting art pieces and a wide range of dining options (Italian, Japanese, Cantonese, American Steakhouse and more). Their amazing pool and fitness center are also located on the 5th floor. Mandarin Oriental Overall Rating Comfort: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Furnishing and Facilities: 4/5 Room type: Premier Harbour Room (34sqm) Average Price: SGD 510++ The Premier room is one tier above the basic Deluxe room. There are 2 types of Premier room in Mandarin Oriental. The Harbour room is facing the Marina bay while the Ocean room is facing the Singapore Flyer and the sea. The neutral tones of soft browns and creams in this room give a warm and comforting visual sensation. Along with the light refreshing scent that lingers along the corridor and in the room, you would not mind lounging on their luxurious goose-down bed the whole day while enjoying the skyline view through the floor-to-ceiling window. However, I feel that there is a lack of oriental elements in their room design. If the pillows provided do not give the right support, there are other selections written on their pillow menu. This room also comes with an impressive audio system where you could feel that your heart will beat along with the rhythm and your body will shake a little with the bass sound. Their bathroom are fitted with separate bath and shower area. Their lemongrass and ginger based bath amenities are in-house brand. I am totally a fan of lemongrass based shower amenities as they always smell so great and refreshing. Besides that, bath salt is also provided. All amenities will be replenished twice daily during their housekeeping and turn down service. Do expect to see TWG tea bags from the mini bar and a fruit platter daily! Other Facilities Their main pool is definitely one of the best hotel pool I have ever seen in Singapore. Located on the 5th floor, their newly renovated pool provides an unobstructed panoramic view of the Singapore skyline around the greenery. There are several options to laze around the pool, either the lounger in the pool, the lounger with soft mattress at the poolside, or the romantic lounger bed if you only want some privacy and view but without the sun. As you approached the pool, the service staff will get you a cold drink and a lounger and nicely lay a towel over it. Sunblocks are available too upon request. Besides the fitness center, Mandarin Oriental has an outdoor pavilion that provides a tranquil and peaceful environment for Yoga. Both the fitness center and the Yoga pavilion are located on the 5th floor as well. Guests can request for private Yoga classes and personal training program in the fitness center. Location Mandarin Oriental is located along the east side of Marina Bay, right beside the Ritz Carlton. It is about 20 mins car ride from the airport and short distance walk away from City Hall and Esplanade MRT Station. Just across the road beside the Esplanade, Makansutra Glutton Bay has gathered lots of famous local delicacy.
